Filming at Altai Republic for TvN and Netflix. Bulgasal: Immortal souls. Part 1.

Because of multiple COVID restrictions for international travels - many companies face the need of hiring a film crew that would remotely film and deliver the required footage. The fixers and DOPs of Filmsiberia.com were invited to take part in a great project - the South Korean drama "Bulgasal" led by director Jang Young-woo.

We were asked to scout and film the amazing landscapes of the Altai region in Russia.

The most exciting was filming at one of the secret landmarks of the Altai region - a magic sky-blue pond that is close to the Aktash village. We got all the required filming permits from the local authorities and national reserves.

The equipment used by our crew was an Alexa Mini with Angenieux lenses and a drone DJI Inspire 2 with an Zenmuse X5S camera.

Our local experts helped choosing the best locations and showed us many great spots for filming the amazing beauty of Altai region.
